Nottingham Forest manager Sean Dyche has delivered a positive update on Super Eagles defender Ola Aina as he continues his recovery from a hamstring injury sustained on international duty.

Aina picked up the injury during Nigeria’s 1–1 draw with South Africa in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier in September, a setback that has ruled him out for ten matches across all competitions—including six Premier League games, one in the Carabao Cup, and three UEFA Europa League fixtures.

Speaking during his pre-match press conference ahead of Forest’s clash with Manchester United, Dyche confirmed that the versatile full-back is responding well to treatment but is still not ready for action.

“Ola is making good progress, and we’re pleased with how he’s recovering,” Dyche said. “He’s not quite there yet, but things are moving in the right direction.”

The update will come as a relief to both Nottingham Forest fans and Nigerian supporters, who are eager to see the 27-year-old defender return to full fitness ahead of a packed club and international calendar.
