Former bank CEO Alex Otti emerges Abia gov-elect as Mbah wins for PDP in Enugu

Labour Party (LP) governorship candidate in Abia, Alex Otti, has been declared the winner of the March 18 poll by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The former Bank CEO scored 175,467 votes to defeat his closest rival, Okey Ahiwe of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who polled 88,529 votes. 

The Young Peoples Party (YPP) governorship candidate Enyinna Nwafor scored 28,972 votes to finish in third position.

In Enugu state, Dr. Peter Mbah of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was declared winner by INEC in the governorship polls.

The PDP flagbearer defeated Chijioke Edeoga of the Labour Party (LP) as he polled 160,895 slightly ahead of his closest rival who scored 157,552 votes.

The All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate Frank Nweke Jnr came third as he polled 14,575 votes.
