Turkish Super Lig side Galatasaray FC have reportedly agreed personal terms to sign combative Super Eagles midfielder Raphael Onyedika on a five-year deal.
However, Galatasaray and Club Brugge have not yet reached a deal to sign the Nigerian international, as the Belgian team turned down the Turkish team’s initial offer.
Onyedika is eager to join Galatasaray and is hoping that the Turkish team can work out a deal with Club Brugge before the transfer window closes this Thursday.
According to transfer expert Sacha Tavolieri, Galatasaray is seeking a way to sign the player who wants to play in the Turkish league and has asked Club Brugge to find an agreement with his suitors.
“Galatasaray reached an agreement on personal terms with Raphael Onyedika on a 5-year contract,” Tavolieri wrote on X.

“The Turkish club made a bid to #Clubbrugge that Blauw&Zwart has rejected… but Onyedika now wants to join the #süperlig club and asked the Club to find an agreement. ”
Club Brugge coach Nicky Hayen once stated that there’s a real chance of Super Eagles midfielder Raphael Onyedika leaving.
The coach who disclosed in a recent interview said that there have been talks since last season of the player leaving the club for a fee in the region of €20 million.
Hayen also hinted that the club is focusing on the players who will play for the club next season, indicating that they are preparing for life after the player’s departure.
“That chance is real. At the end of last season, there was also talk of that. We are working with the players there and our homework has been done by now,” Hayen told a press conference.
