Gender Advocate Dr Ejike Orji has called on the state government to create treatment units and possible referral centres for those affected by gender-based violence.
While speaking, the Advocate reiterated the usefulness of the various enlightenment programs going on in the country explaining that it was vital to solving gender–based problems.
Dr Orji made this call while speaking as a guest with Radio Nigeria audience participation programme.
Another view shared by his co–guest known as Mrs Margaret Bolaji emphasizes that only when everyone does his or her part well by taking responsibility, justice will never take its cause.
They called on the government and other agencies to work hard to see that sexually abused persons such as rape victims and other related cases be seriously dealt with.
A commenter on the programme Mr Patrick Okoroafor praised the Lagos State government for delivering justice when needed, he further called on other state governments to follow the footsteps of the state in making sure justice is followed strictly.
Another commenter, Abubakar Musa from Niger state suggested that the government should provide favourable policies that will empower the feminine gender which would also lead to the betterment of the country.
