Geregu Power Appoints StructureHQ as New Company Secretary, Legal Adviser

Geregu Power Plc has announced the appointment of StructureHQ (SHQ Legal) as its new Company Secretary and Legal Adviser, effective October 16, 2025.

The appointment follows the resignation of the previous Company Secretary, Mr. Akinleye Olagbende, according to a statement released to the Nigerian Exchange Limited and the investing public.

Akin Akinfemiwa, Chief Executive Officer of Geregu Power Plc, confirmed the development in an official announcement on Thursday.

“The Board of Directors of Geregu Power Plc wishes to inform Nigerian Exchange Limited and the public of the appointment of StructureHQ as the Company Secretary and Legal Adviser to the Company, effective 16th October 2025, following the resignation of the erstwhile Company Secretary, Mr. Akinleye Olagbende,” Akinfemiwa stated.

The CEO highlighted the credentials of the newly appointed firm, noting that “SHQ Legal offers comprehensive legal and governance support tailored to meet the evolving needs of corporate clients, ensuring compliance, strategic alignment, and sound governance practices.”

Expressing confidence in the new arrangement, Akinfemiwa added: “The Board welcomes SHQ Legal and looks forward to a productive relationship in the discharge of its company secretarial and legal advisory functions.”

The transition marks a new chapter in Geregu Power’s corporate governance structure as the company continues its operations in Nigeria’s power sector.
