Goldman Sachs projects Nigeria as 5th world’s biggest economy in 2075 as China tops the list

According to projections by Goldman Sachs, the global economic landscape in 2075 is expected to see a significant shift in the ranking of the world’s largest economies. 

According to the organisation, these forecasts highlight the potential emergence of new economic powerhouses and the continued growth of existing giants. 

Nigeria is projected to be the 5th biggest economy by the American multinational investment bank and financial services company. 

The projections are as follows:

  • 🇨🇳 China: $57 trillion
  • 🇮🇳 India: $52.5 trillion
  • 🇺🇸 United States: $51.5 trillion
  • 🇮🇩 Indonesia: $13.7 trillion
  • 🇳🇬 Nigeria: $13.1 trillion

Notably, China and India are expected to take the lead, with the United States maintaining a solid presence in the top three. 

Indonesia and Nigeria are also projected to become major players in the global economy.

The estimates highlight the dynamic and evolving nature of the global economic landscape, with emerging economies taking on more prominent roles alongside established economic powerhouses. 

Founded in 1869, Goldman Sachs is headquartered in Lower Manhattan in New York City, with regional headquarters in many international financial centres.

Its bankers advise clients on some of their most important strategic decisions and transactions, including mergers and acquisitions.
