Senator Uba Sani, the Governor of Kaduna State, led a high-level security council meeting, overseeing discussions and receiving comprehensive briefings from heads of various security agencies.
The meeting focused on addressing both prevailing and emerging security threats while formulating strategies to neutralise criminal elements in the state.
The meeting, held with key stakeholders in security, was attended by top-ranking officers, including Major General VO Okoro, GOC 1 Division and Commander of Operation Whirl Punch, Major General AE Abubakar, GOC 3 Division and Commander of Operation Safe Haven, as well as Air Vice Marshal NN Ananaba, the Air Officer Commanding, Air Training Command (represented by Air Commodore MA Garba).
Additionally, the Commissioner of Police for Kaduna State, CP Yusuf Musa Garba (represented by DCP MB Giwa), the Director of DSS, Abdul Eneche, and the Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Idris Adah, were in attendance.
Governor Sani praised the collective efforts of the security agencies, acknowledging the progress made in restoring normalcy to several troubled communities.
”I commend our security agencies for the restoration of normalcy in many of our troubled communities. Thousands of internally displaced persons have started running to their homes.
”We shall step up our support to security agencies so that they can sustain the current tempo of ground and air operations in areas affected by the activities of terrorists, bandits and kidnappers,” he said.
The governor also emphasised the importance of collaborative efforts in ensuring the safety and well-being of the citizens.
He noted that the efforts to counter security threats and restore peace and stability across Kaduna state will continue unabated.
