Nigerian singer Falz has slammed officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) following the disruption of voting during the governorship and State Houses of Assembly elections.
The musician criticised the electoral body in reaction to a video which showed thugs attacking a polling unit during the election.
He stated that officials of the electoral body would be playing the role of clowns if they announce any winner despite the widespread violence in the elections.

Falz said:
“And @inecnigeria will still come and announce a winner abi?? You must be CLOWNS.”
Meanwhile, INEC has postponed the governorship and State Assembly elections in 10 polling units in Victoria Garden City (VGC) to Sunday, March 19, 2023.
The commission’s Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Lagos Segun Agbaje said that INEC’s ad hoc staff had set up voting materials, but the estate residents claimed that hoodlums might disrupt the process, so they did not feel secure to cast their votes.
Elections did not also go as planned in the Asari-Toru LGA of Rivers state due to the insistence of voters to sight electoral officers and collation officers.
