The Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) has confirmed the arrest of controversial crossdresser Idris Okuneye popularly known in social circles as as Bobrisky.
Recall that arrest of Bobrisky was first made known by social media critic Very Dark Man who disclosed that the transvestite was arrested on Monday morning at the Seme border in his attempt to enter the Benin Republic to escape an ongoing investigation by the House of Representatives.
The NIS has now officially confirmed the arrest of Bobrisky at the Seme Border in a statement released on October 21, where it informed the public that the crossdresser who is a person of interest was arrested while trying to flee Nigeria.
Bobrisky who is currently embroiled in an ongoing investigation by a Committee of the House of Representatives was reportedly arrested during passport checks at the Seme border, detained and later moved to the Lagos zone of the NIS in Ikeja.
”He was arrested at midnight and detained until this morning, and he’s currently being moved to the Lagos zone of the NIS in Ikeja.
“He gave his passport to someone to stamp it for him, so, the officer saw the name immediately among others and requested that he should come down from the vehicle,” A source told Premium Times.
