HubSpot acquired Cacheflow, a firm that creates tools for the software sales closing process, for an unknown sum.
HubSpot CEO Yamini Rangan disclosed the acquisition in a press release.
Brian Zotter and Sarika Garg established Cacheflow in 2021. Garg formerly served as the head of product management at SAP’s Ariba Network and the chief strategy officer at Tradeshift, a procurement automation startup.
Zotter was the VP of Engineering at Salesforce before co-founding YesPath, an account engagement platform that Medium purchased in 2017.
According to the release, Cacheflow’s solutions automate the software-as-a-service (SaaS) sales flow process on a single, no-code platform, making it easier to sell and buy B2B software.
It enables users to configure estimates, close sales via interactive links, and upsell and renew consumers.
Rangan claims that Cacheflow, which will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of HubSpot once the transaction is completed, will enhance HubSpot’s Commerce Hub portfolio of subscription billing management and configure, price, and quote capabilities (CPQ).
“With Cacheflow, we’re doubling down on our vision for commerce by addressing two important areas of the buying experience: subscription billing and configure, price, quote (CPQ),” Rangan said in the release. “Cacheflow is a leader in this space and has helped companies automate the purchase process to capture revenue faster.”
Newsng gathered that Cacheflow’s staff would join HubSpot’s Commerce Hub organisation, where they would focus on HubSpot’s capabilities for managing purchasing processes.
Cacheflow Co-founder Sarika Garg said in the release: “We made it our mission to reimagine the old CPQ and billing space, helping businesses automate revenue management, shorten the sales cycle and get paid fast. We believe deeply in the power of our solution, and are thrilled to join HubSpot and the Commerce Hub team.”
HubSpot sees Commerce Hub as a new bright point in its company, having handled over $1 billion in gross merchandise value since its inception in 2023.
We earlier reported that Google had scrapped its intentions to buy CRM expert HubSpot, killing a possible merger that may have helped Google Cloud and been valued at billions of dollars.
