Babatunde Gbadamosi, a Labour Party chieftain, has declared that he is keen to see Peter Obi lead Nigeria.

Obi, a former governor of Anambra state, contested the 2023 presidential election under the Labour Party.

The Independent National Electoral Commission declared incumbent Bola Tinubu as the winner of the contest, but Obi has approached the election petition tribunal to pronounce him as Nigeria’s duly-elected president.

Gbadamosi, 55, a former governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Lagos state, says Obi’s presidency will inspire young Nigerians.

He also stated that Obi’s work ethic would change the country’s fortunes drastically for good.

“Imagine what 140 million energetic and hardworking Nigerian youths emulating Peter Obi’s work ethic would turn Nigeria into in just four years!!!

“If you have any doubts, just watch those who Japa and what they’re able to achieve abroad in just a couple of years. This is why I am keen to witness President Peter Obi’s administration in Nigeria,” he wrote on Twitter.

Manwell Adejumobi, a survey technologist, agrees and wrote:

I can’t wait for him to bring sanity and professionalism to the society generally.

A researcher, Afolabi Bamidele, concurs and wrote:

It will be awesome to witness. I strongly believe that he will lead Nigeria very well and sets great standards for other African leaders to emulate.

Gbolade Ogundele, a real estate investor disagrees and called on Nigerians to support President Tinubu.

He said:

”Fortunately for the Nigerian youths, the best season of productivity and prosperity is here with Tinubu as president. He has done it before; he will replicate it nationwide. Let’s all support him because we believe Nigeria.”
