Nigerian actor turned politician Desmond Elliot has condemned the attack on his political opponent, Olumide Oworu.
Elliot, who is a lawmaker representing Surulere 1 in the Lagos House of Assembly
Surulere LGA 1, is contesting for re-election on Saturday, March 18.
One of his opponents from the Labour Party, Olumide Oworu, is one of the favourites in the poll.

However, Oworu was reportedly attacked by suspected thugs at a campaign in the Iponri area of Lagos state recently.
In response to the attack, Desmond Elliot said he would never be a party to any move that seeks to undermine the peaceful coexistence in Lagos.
The actor stated that he strongly condemns the act of violence in whatever guide, and as a law abiding citizen, he has called for emotions to be controlled.

Meanwhile, Desmond Elliot has prostrated in the traditional Yoruba way to apologise to all Surulere people to forgive him for any wrong he may have done to them.
Elliot, who is a lawmaker representing Surulere 1 in the Lagos House of Assembly on the platform of the All-Progressives Congress (APC), has asked his constituents to give him another chance by voting for him in the coming election.
After his pleas, the people promised to vote for the actor-turned-politician on Saturday, March 18.
