Controversial singer Portable has dismissed reports that the Ogun state police command arrested him.
In a post via his Instagram handle, the singer’s management argued that Portable honoured the police invitation to the station.
“Remain calm as everything is in control. We writing this for those reaching out to us Portable wasn’t arrested he went to the police station himself to honour the invitation of the police,” the statement read.

“Police is our friend we trust and believe the force will carry out their investigations and everything will be done appropriately We are positive that all will go well as he is with the commissioner of police (CP) and the issue is being (sic) attended to.”
Meanwhile, the Ogun state police command has disclosed that portable has been detained over an alleged assault.
The musician was reportedly arrested on Friday following the expiration of the 72-hour ultimatum given to him to turn himself in.
Abimbola Oyeyemi, the state police spokesperson, said the singer is currently detained at the state headquarters of the police in Eleweran, Abeokuta.
