Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has claimed that she funded her wedding with ex-hubby, Churchill Olakunle.
Speaking in a video uploaded via her Instagram handle, the actress said Churchill, who was residing in Ghana when they were planning the wedding, always asked her to do the spending, promising to pay back.

She said:
“He didn’t pay for anything at all. A lot of people say, ‘Oh, you’re very stupid! You paid for your wedding, you were desperate! And all what not. But that wasn’t the case. When I travelled to Ghana, I stayed with him and whenever he came to Nigeria, he stayed with me.”
The actress provided documents to back her claims that she sponsored their wedding.

Tonto alleged that Churchill could not even pay for the hotel they lodged in after marriage. According to her, her friend’s boyfriend paid for the hotel they both slept in that night.
The movie star turned politician also dismissed her ex-hubby’s claim that there was no wedding but a parlour ceremony.
Tonto married Churchill in 2015, and they welcomed their son in 2016. In 2017, the couple divorced, and Churchill married the Gambian-born actress Rosy in 2019.
