If Tinubu is inaugurated, he will destroy Nigeria - American citizen warns

Jeffrey Guterman, a retired American mental health counsellor and a staunch supporter of Peter Obi, has predicted that if Bola Tinubu is sworn in as the president of Nigeria, the country would be destroyed.

Guterman made the prediction in a tweet on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, which has amassed over 60,000 views on the micro-blogging platform.

The American citizen has been calling for Tinubu not to be inaugurated almost daily through his Twitter handle.

In a tweet directed at U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Marcia L. Fudge, Guterman frowned at his country’s leaders for identifying with Tinubu.

President Joe Biden had selected Fudge to lead an American government’s delegation to Abuja for Tinubu’s inauguration.

Why lead USA delegation to Tinubu’s inauguration. He is a notorious drug trafficker and the fraud election in Nigeria is contested. Attending will be a stain on your legacy. Please do what is morally right: Refuse to lead this delegation,” Guterman told Fudge in the now-viral tweet.

Earlier, while reacting to a photo of former British Prime Minister, Tony Blair visiting Tinubu, Guterman wrote:

“Left to right: A drug trafficker and a war criminal.”

A Nigerian teacher and follower of Guterman, however, advised him to take a back seat in the affairs of Nigeria.

Badejo Oluforijimi wrote in response to Guterman’s tweet:

“Sir, I think it’s time for you to get some rest for now. Thank you for all you have done!!!”

However, another follower, Chika Mokwunye, agrees with Guterman.

He tweeted:

“Oh yes. That’s given that Nigeria will definitely catapult to an unfathomable gorge and chasm of irreparable destruction should Tinubu be the next head of government.”

Barring any last-minute changes, Tinubu, 71, a former Lagos state governor, will be sworn-in as Nigeria’s next president on Monday, May 29, 2023.
