Ogun state Governor Dapo Abiodun has been using his tongue to count his teeth after narrowly escaping defeat in his polling unit.
The incumbent governor representing the All Progressives Congress (APC) managed to win the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with just five votes in his own backyard.
Abiodun who is seeking re-election polled 147 votes, five ahead of Ladi Adebutu of the PDP who had 142 votes.

However, the APC lost to the PDP in the Ikenne Local Government Area of the state, where Governor Abidoun hails from.
Adebutu who also comes from Ikenne as the governor polled 12,472 votes for the PDP to defeat the APC who scored 9,133 votes.
In the Egunrege area of Ikenne township where Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo voted, Adebutu carried the day as the PDP scored 42 votes, APC had 21 votes, and ADC had one vote.
