The Minister of Interior Dr Olubunmi Ojo has installed and inaugurated the newly completed NIS Projects in Lagos State. During the inauguration, he promised to provide working pieces of equipment and working capital to Carry out their activities.
Minister Ojo rendered his appreciation to the immigration service for ensuring internal security and citizens’ integrity which involves putting their lives at risk, and all-nighters patrol amidst current insecurity times.
While at the inauguration, the ministry ensured NIS workers that their hard work had been noticed adding that the Minister would do its possible best to support their welfare while at work.
During the event at zone A, in Ikeja, the Minister called on the officials to maintain the same uniforms to avoid impersonation.
The NIS also noted its efforts to deploy technology in carrying out its activities more effectively and further requested support from Nigerians.
The NIS also explained that in the completed projects the NIS showed their commitment to eliminating insecurity and improving the performance of workers via the creation of more comfortable working conditions, the event included the presence of many NIS personnel and formations.
