The Federal Government has delayed in payment of November salaries of two thousand federal workers due to abnormalities related to IPPIS systems, this was confirmed by most Federal workers on Monday.
An Anonymous source believed to be part of the Federal workers claimed that many workers are yet to be paid.
He also added that the delay is suspected to be due to a recent verification process by the office of the head of civil service.
A Federal agency worker explained that the pending salaries might be a result of abnormalities in the IPPIS system.
He claims that the number of unpaid workers are amounting to 2000 workers, the IPPIS is an Integrated Payroll and personal information system.
A spokesman to the accountant general of the federation claimed that salaries have been paid since Friday, but not to all civil servants, further information regarding the delay will be released he said.
The National president for senior civil servants Etim said he is working on resolving the payment issues.
Earlier he warned that 5000 worker might lose their November and December salaries due to IPPIS irregularities.
2772 workers out of the 5000 have successfully concluded their verification and will receive their payments soon.
He revealed that six teams are working tirelessly to solve the problem, he also advised the civil workers to ensure frequent visits to their HOS portal website.
The verification for November has been concluded those that haven’t seen their salaries up till now are at risk of losing their November payments, he added
We call on the Federal Government to make sure that the payments for December isn’t delayed.
