The Israeli Air Force (IAF) has escalated its military operations against the Hamas terrorist organization in the Gaza Strip, launching dozens of airstrikes on a series of terrorist targets.
The strikes are an ongoing effort to degrade Hamas’s capabilities and infrastructure, according to the IAF.
The IAF has reported dropping approximately 6,000 bombs on various Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip.
It said the strikes have been relentless, aiming to disrupt and dismantle the terrorist organization’s operations.
It further said during the airstrikes, a high-ranking commander within the Hamas terrorist organization, along with a group of operatives responsible for directing terrorism against Israel, were assassinated.
The IAF noted that the airstrikes have been highly targeted, focusing on many key objectives, including command and control centres, strategic military infrastructure, weapons production facilities, intelligence assets, leadership figures, naval assets, and rocket systems.
It stated that the campaign aims to disrupt Hamas’s capabilities and deter future attacks significantly.
”The airstrikes killed hundreds of terrorists and attacked over 3,600 targets, including command and control targets, strategic military infrastructure, weapons production sites, intelligence assets, leadership targets, naval superiority targets and rocket system targets.
”We will continue to attack forcefully and relentlessly, as long as necessary,” the IAF said in a social media post.
The ongoing military operations are part of Israel’s commitment to protecting its citizens and ensuring the safety and security of the region.
