Senior Advocate of Nigeria Femi Falana has said that it will be a herculean task for the judgement of the Osun state election tribunal to be overturned.
The tribunal nullified the victory of current Governor Ademola Adeleke for election malpractice which was held on July 16, 2022, whereby giving the win to Adegboyega Oyetola.
Osun’s INEC observed that there was overvoting on the side of Adeleke who represented the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) during the gubernatorial election.

And Falana believes the people of Osun state should sue the electoral body for damages over the wastage of votes.
The Human Right activist told Arise TV;
“What the voters in those areas have to do is to sue INEC for damages that you have wasted my votes. “Looking at the judgement, I believe very strongly that it is going to be a daunting task to impeach the judgement. INEC has to be held completely responsible for what happened.”
Falana added that the INEC should ensure such an experience does not occur in the future.
“INEC will have to put its house in order. If we have this in a presidential election, where you issue one or two reports, it will have a crisis of monumental proportion.”
