Well-travelled and respected Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho is set to become the new coach of top-flight Turkish side Fenerbahçe after signing a contract with the club.
This development was made known in a post shared on the X handle (formerly Twitter) of respected Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano who revealed that Mourinho has agreed to become the club’s next coach after a verbal agreement.
Romano also informed in his post on X that Mourinho is lining up to become Fenerbahçe’s new coach on a two-year contract after a verbal agreement with the club to sign a deal until 2026.
He noted that Mourinho’s agent, Jorge Mendes has been negotiating the deal and now it is time to review and sign all formal documents of the contract which also includes an option for a further season.
