The Federal High Court in Abuja has ruled in favour of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu after a suit filed by barrister Osigwe Momoh seeking for the disqualification of the All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential candidate.
Barrister Momoh was against the Muslim-Muslim ticket adopted by the ruling party involving the former Lagos state governor Tinubu and his running mate Kashim Shettima, the Nation reports.
The presiding judge, Justice Ahmed Mohammed said that the plaintiff lacked the locus standi to have approached the court on the issue.

Justice Mohammed further stated that the verdict will not be in the plaintiff’s favour because there is no evidence that he is a card-carrying member of the APC.
According to the judge, barrister Momoh would have been given a fair hearing if he was part of presidential aspirants during the primaries that made Tinubu the party’s flagbearer.
The judge further stated Tinubu and running Shettima who are both Muslims does not depict the principle of inclusivity in a country that is of diverse religions and ethnicity.
Meanwhile, wife of APC’s presidential candidate Oluremi Tinubu has appealed to Nigerians that the muslim-muslim ticket should be given a chance.
She further stated that if her husband is elected into office and does not perform in his first term, he should be removed.
