German professional footballer of Nigerian descent Justin Gideon Njinmah has revealed the ideal condition that will make him consider playing for the Super Eagles.
The fast winger, who plays for the top-flight German Bundesliga side Werder Bremen, mentioned that the rumours about Germany’s interest in him are motivating him to improve as a player. Meanwhile, Nigeria is also seeking to persuade him to join the Super Eagles.
However, Njimah revealed in a recent chat with Kicker that one of his aspirations is to play for the German national team, but he noted that he felt bad not making Germany’s squad for EURO 2024.
He said; “It was relatively clear to me that I had no chance. Nevertheless, I know that they have themed me on the screen. I know they watched me several times. There has not been an exchange with someone from the German team yet, but of course, it is a big goal of mine, which I hope can achieve.

‘‘Marvin Ducksch has shown that performance can be rewarded and that sometimes one or two extraordinarily good seasons are enough to be noticed,” Njimah said in quotes revealed by Fussball Transfers.
Whoever is eventually hired to lead the Super Eagles would be seeking new players for his post-AFCON plans, which may persuade Njinmah to commit his international future to Nigeria instead.
However, the 23-year-old stated that he must be called to play for the Super Eagles before deciding whether to play for Nigeria or Germany.
“I know I’m being looked at by Nigeria of course, but I can only decide when I get an invitation. Then I really would have to weigh up exactly,” the talented player said.
