‘’Thiago Motta did an excellent job as Bologna manager qualifying to UCL, and he will inform the club about his final decision soon.’’ Romano wrote on his official X handle.
Motta will now replace Allegri, who has parted ways with Juventus, as he won’t be the manager next season, as planned since February when he fell out with the board of the club.
The appointment of Motta comes a day after Allegri led Juventus to win a record-extending 15th Coppa Italia on Wednesday with a 1-0 defeat of Atalanta.
Allegri is the first coach to win the Coppa Italia five times, while Eriksson and Mancini won it four times each.
