Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani signs 2024 Budget, prioritises rural transformation

Kaduna state governor, Senator Uba Sani, has officially enacted the 2024 Appropriation Bill, themed “Budget of Rural Transformation for Inclusive Development.” 

The comprehensive budget, totalling N458,271,299,477.66, delineates 69.57% for Capital Expenditure and 30.43% for Recurrent Expenditure, signifying a commitment to fortifying rural areas and fostering extensive growth.

In an acknowledgement statement, Governor Uba Sani extended his gratitude to the Kaduna State House of Assembly, particularly the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Henry Danjuma and the Assembly Members for their swift and thorough consideration, leading to the expeditious passage of the Appropriation Bill. 

The governor also commended the tireless efforts of the Planning and Budget Commission and all contributors instrumental in shaping this pivotal budget.

Calling for solidarity and collaboration from the citizens, Governor Sani underscored the importance of collective action, particularly during challenging periods. 

Emphasising the resilience and resourcefulness of the people of Kaduna state, the governor articulated his unwavering commitment to steering the state toward a brighter future.

”I call on our dear citizens to give us their full support and cooperation as we commence the implementation of the 2024 Budget. 

”These are challenging times. It is in challenging times that the indomitable spirit of the people is called to action. 

”We are determined to lead our people to a brighter future. We shall succeed because the people of Kaduna State are resourceful and resilient,” Governor Sani said.
