Celebrity auto dealer Ikechukwu Daryl Ogbonna, popularly known as IVD, was remanded on Tuesday, January 31, by an Ebute Meta Magistrates’ over the death of his wife, Abimbola Martins-Ogbonna.
Magistrate Adebayo Kafayat Tella made the remand order following advice by the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP), Lagos State, which indicted Ogbonna for involuntary manslaughter.
She stated that her court lacked the jurisdiction to entertain a case of involuntary manslaughter.

Magistrate Adebayo told the counsel of IVD to present his bail applications before the high court.
She adjourned till March 7, 2023.
Meanwhile, former Big Brother Naija housemate, Mercy Eke, has reacted to claims that she is in a romantic affair with a celebrity car dealer, Ikechukwu Ogbonna, popularly known as IVD.
In a tearful video posted on social media, Mercy said the rumour linking her with IVD, who recently lost his wife in death, was false.
The reality star said she had dealings with IVD only when she purchased a faulty Range Rover from him in September 2020 and, after that, demanded a refund.
