Frank Lampard, former Chelsea manager, says he is not ‘totally surprised’ by the Blues’ current difficulties this season.
The former Spurs boss took charge of the club in July, having previously managed them in 12th place last season, with Thomas Tuchel in charge, Graham Potter in charge and Lampard in charge.
Currently, Chelsea are 11th in the league, having won just eight points in seven games.
“I’m not completely surprised by some of the problems, having been there myself towards the end of last season,” Lampard said. “You could see, I think, some of the problems there was a lack of confidence in the results.”
He added that he expected Chelsea to have won more points this season, but “I never thought it would be such a quick turnaround.”
