English Premier League (EPL) side Leicester City has confirmed the signing of former Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cooper as the new coach of the club replacing Enzo Maresca.
Leicester City has been on the hunt for a new manager after Maresca’s departure to become the new coach of Chelsea with Graham Potter also considered for the role.
But the team was unable to reach a deal with Potter ahead of their Premier League return, so they turned their attention to the former Nottingham Forest manager.

Leicester City wants to start getting ready for the next season as soon as possible, therefore they have now officially confirmed the 44-year-old’s signing.
While reacting to his announcement as new coach, Cooper said that he is excited because Leicester City is a fantastic club with a rich history and passionate supporters.
Cooper said: “I am really excited and proud to be appointed Leicester City’s First Team Manager. This is a fantastic Club with a rich history and passionate supporters. I am excited to work with such a talented squad and I’m looking forward to the challenge of achieving our shared ambitions in the Premier League.”
