English Premier League (EPL) side Leicester City has contacted Graham Potter as a serious candidate to replace Enzo Maresca who has been appointed as the new manager of Chelsea.
Per transfer guru, Fabrizio Romano, newly-promoted Leicester City remain in talks with the former Brighton and Chelsea coach as they seek a new manager ahead of next season.
According to Romano, talks are ongoing by the Leicester City board to make a final decision on the favourite option but Potter is appreciated for his experience and work done in the past.
‘‘Graham Potter and Leicester City remain in talks as he’s serious candidate for the job, as reported.
‘‘Leicester City have made contact with Graham Potter as serious candidate to replace Enzo Maresca.
‘‘Talks ongoing to make decision on the favorite option but Potter’s appreciated, waiting for the club to decide.’’ Romano wrote on his official X handle on June 12.

Chelsea’s ownership group, chaired by Todd Boehly, expressed confidence in the newly appointed coach, Maresca, in achieving the club’s vision and competitive aims.
Maresca has signed a five-year contract as Chelsea’s new manager, accepting the challenge of returning the club to the Champions League as a minimum requirement.
Former goalkeepers Willy Caballero, Danny Walker, Michele De Bernardin, Marcos Alvarez, Javi Molina, and Roberto Vitiello will join his team.
Other coaching staff of the 44-year-old manager includes Ben Roberts, who will join the staff as goalkeeper coach and has been appointed to the role of head of global goalkeeping, while Bernardo Cueva will lead the set-piece department.
