One Direction band member Liam Payne reportedly fell to his death while trying to escape from his hotel after he was ushered into his room by hotel workers.
A report published by TMZ revealed that minutes before he fell to his death, Liam, who was unruly in the lobby and intoxicated, was carried to his room by three hotel staff.
Liam resisted the hotel staff’s attempts to enter his room when they brought him there, but they used a master key to get inside and placed the musician inside.
According to additional sources, Liam told the hotel staff that he didn’t want to be locked up in the hotel room and that he would use the balcony as an escape route.
He later did just that, as one of the staff members contacted 911 minutes later, expressing concern that he may use the balcony and inadvertently injure himself.
In a related development, the police in Buenos Aires, Argentina, have arrested three suspects in connection with the death of Liam Payne.
Two of the arrested suspects—one of whom was allegedly a hotel employee—are charged with providing and enabling the drugs, while the other one is charged with abandonment.
The National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor’s Office has charged one of the singer’s companions with drug supply and facilitation as well as abandonment followed by death.
