Linkage Assurance Plc has announced the appointment of Mr Razack Olugbenga Falekulo as an Independent Non-Executive Director, following regulatory approval from the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM).
The announcement was contained in a statement signed by the Company Secretary, Moses Omorogbe, on Thursday, who confirmed that the appointment takes effect from November 4, 2025.
“We hereby notify the public, Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX), and our esteemed shareholders that the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) has approved the appointment of Mr Razack Olugbenga Falekulo as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Linkage Assurance Plc (the Company), effective 4th of November 2025,” Omorogbe stated.
Mr Falekulo is described as a seasoned professional in the insurance and reinsurance sector. He previously served as Deputy Managing Director at Continental Reinsurance Plc, where he contributed significantly to strategic growth and regional market expansion.
According to the Company Secretary, Falekulo’s academic and professional background further strengthens Linkage Assurance’s leadership. “Mr Falekulo holds a B.Sc. in Insurance from the University of Delhi and an MBA from Enugu State University. He is an Associate member of the Chartered Insurance Institute of London. He is bringing his wealth of experience to the Company’s Board and Management,” Omorogbe added.
Industry analysts say the appointment is expected to enhance corporate governance as well as improve strategic oversight, particularly at a time when the insurance sector is undergoing regulatory reforms and digital transformation.
Linkage Assurance Plc maintains that the addition of Mr Falekulo to its Board aligns with its commitment to strengthening leadership capacity and reinforcing stakeholder confidence.
