LP gubernatorial candidate in Adamawa dumps Peter Obi to join APC barely 48 hours to election

The gubernatorial candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in Adamawa state Umar Mustapaha has dumped his party to support Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

According to news media outlet The Punch, Mustapha as well as his supporters have all decamped to join the All Progressives Congress (APC) in less than two days before election.

The governorship candidate collapsed the Labour Party’s structure in Adamawa state which was in support for Peter Obi before pledging his loyalty to the APC.

Mustapha revealed that he left the LP to support Tinubu because those who led the Labour party in Adamawa are as bad as the system he wanted to see changed. 

And he made his final decision after it became clear to him that the party in Adamawa state will get nowhere.
