LP supporters jubilate as Peter Obi defeats Tinubu’s APC in Lagos

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), has won the presidential election in Lagos state. 

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party Peter Obi defeated the All Progressives Congress (APC) flagbearer Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

After all the 20 local governments were calculated the former Anambra state governor made history as he defeated his rival in his own backyard.

Obi won majority votes in the cosmopolitan state and it did not come as a surprise to many that he defeated Tinubu in his stronghold.

Here are the final results:

APC – 572, 606 

Labour Party – 582, 354 

NNPP – 8442 

PDP – 75 750 

SDP – 772

Accredited voters: 1,347152 

Total Valid votes: 1271451 

Rejected votes: 64278
