Spanish tactician Pep Guardiola has disclosed that reliable midfielder Rodri will be out of the game for a long time after suffering an injury against Arsenal on Sunday.
Recall that the midfielder who was making his first Premier League start of the season four days ago was forced off in the Premier League which ended in a 2-2 draw at the Etihad.
Rodri’s right knee has ligament damage, according to a recent statement issued by Manchester City, however, it’s yet unknown how serious the injury is.

A statement on mancity.com read: “Assessment remains ongoing to ascertain the full extent of the injury and expected prognosis. Everyone at the club wishes him a speedy recovery.”
Guardiola stated that the team hopes to learn by Wednesday how serious the knee injury suffered by the Spain international is, but they are still awaiting word from medical professionals.
“Still we don’t have the definitive [diagnosis] but he will be out for a long time – a while,” Guardiola said after City’s League Cup win over Watford.
“But there are some opinions that maybe it will be less than we expected.”
