Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Pere Egbi, has courted controversy on Twitter after he declared that the institution of marriage is a scam.
Pere made the statement via his Twitter handle on Thursday, December 9.
He said:
“Marriage is a scam.”
However, some Nigerians on Twitter faulted his claims about marriage. They argued that there are people who are enjoying their marriages.

“Louder please, people need to start being accountable for their wrong choices and not tag the mistake with marriage is scam. There are good people who still respect the institution of marriage and have a loving home.”

Marriage can either be a blessing or a scam. It depends on the parties involved. Marriage like every other venture takes a lot of work. It can either succeed or fail.

“There’s manual to follow to have a successful marriage which is the holy book; the word of our living God. Until the divine principles are followed careful, the rate divorce and broken home will continue be on the high side.”
In another news, Nollywood actress, Yvonne Jegede, has described her ex-husband, Olakunle Fawole, as not the right person for her.
Yvonne made the statement when speaking about her separation failed marriage during a show hosted by Mercy Johnson Okojie.
The actress stated that her marriage did not work because she and her ex-husband were on different pages.
