Nigerians were shocked after learning that a married man who was a thrift collector reportedly relocated to the UK with thrift contributions amounting to the tune of 15 million naira

What was even more surprising was that the man allegedly abandoned his wife and children and eloped with his girlfriend.

The story was shared by a Twitter user, identified as Olusola Olufemi, via his handle, @OlusolaOlufem12, when he was reacting to the comments made by a user, who seemed to be aware of the incident.

“A guy just ran away with people’s daily contribution worth 15m. “The most shocking part of it is that he left his wife and children and eloped with a side chick,” he tweeted.

Sadly, this is not the first time a thrift collector would be accused of absconding with funds.

In June this year, a lady who was also a thrift collector in Ibadan was accused of doing the same when she was accosted in Lagos by people who recognised her.
