Spanish tactician Mikel Arteta has reacted to Arsenal’s pulsating 2-2 draw against rivals Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
Recall that Man City took the lead early in the game when Erling Haaland raced to score the first goal before Arsenal levelled scores some minutes later when Ricardo Calafiori scored his first EPL goal.
Arsenal took the lead in the second half when Gabriel Magalhaes nodded home to increase the tally to 2-1 while John Stones restored parity moments after when he made it 2-2 in the dying minutes of the game.
While reacting to the intense nature of the game, Mikel Arteta said that he is extremely proud of the way Arsenal played in the game at the Etihad.

He said that his team showed the desire to play in different ways even after Leandro Trossard was shown a red card but he is sad that they (Arsenal) did not win the match.
Arteta said: “I’m extremely proud of what we did at the Etihad”.
“We show desire, we adapt to different ways of playing, that’s superb”.
“Happy? No, we wanted to win. But it was difficult, then what we had to deal with and as well with the players we had out… I’m proud”.
