Nano Labs Ltd., a Web3 infrastructure company based in China, has made a $5 million strategic investment in CEA Industries Inc., a Nasdaq-listed firm. The move aims to support CEA’s entry into building Binance Coin (BNB) reserves, positioning both companies at the centre of a growing trend among public firms adopting crypto treasury strategies.

The investment includes the purchase of around 495,000 CEA shares at $10.10 each, along with warrants to acquire an equal number of shares at a higher price of $15.15. If all warrants are exercised, Nano Labs would own close to one million shares of CEA. This positions the company to benefit from CEA’s broader fundraising efforts and crypto initiatives.

Known for its role in Canada’s vape market, CEA Industries is now shifting toward digital assets. Its latest move is a $500 million private placement (PIPE) plan, aimed largely at accumulating BNB. A portion of the proceeds will also support ongoing business expenses and network fees associated with blockchain operations.

For Nano Labs, this investment aligns with a much larger goal—building a $1 billion treasury reserve focused on BNB. As of now, the company holds around 128,000 BNB and is actively expanding its crypto portfolio. The firm previously raised $500 million in June through convertible promissory notes priced at $20 per share, with built-in pricing flexibility.

Shortly after, Nano Labs disclosed that it had received 600 BTC—valued at approximately $63.6 million at the time—as part of that funding. With that, its Bitcoin holdings now total about 1,000 BTC. These strategic reserves form the backbone of Nano Labs’ broader mission to secure long-term value and leadership in the digital asset space.

By backing CEA’s BNB initiative, Nano Labs not only reinforces its treasury goals but also helps bring more traditional investors into the Binance ecosystem through public equity channels.
