Italian Serie A side Napoli has lowered the asking price for Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen which was initially set at €130 million (£110.8 million) by club President Aurelio de Laurentiis.
The former Serie A champions may now be willing to drop that initial assessment to €100M, according to Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, via Football Italia.
This is to free up much-needed transfer cash for new manager Antonio Conte who seeks to restore the pride of the Italian side that won the Scudetto two seasons ago.
This comes weeks after English Premier League (EPL) side Arsenal FC asked Italian Napoli to lower their asking price for Osimhen.
The player is eager to stay in Europe, but Saudi Pro League clubs could afford such a big sum even as the Serie A club has not received any serious approaches thus far.

Arsenal have told Napoli they won’t meet Osimhen’s €130 million release clause despite rating him highly.
It was widely reported in the media that Chelsea FC has offered Italian club Napoli the sum of €90 million in cash plus Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku for Victor Osimhen.
Gianluca Di Marzio, an Italian transfer specialist, claims Chelsea may offer Napoli a partial exchange for Osimhen.
In the proposed trade, Chelsea would pay €90 million in cash to Napoli in exchange for Lukaku, including a young talent, in exchange for Osimhen’s signature.
