Italian Serie A side Napoli FC have officially announced Antonio Conte as the new head coach of the team on a three-year deal which will run until 2027.
The deal to sign Conte, who began his career at local club Lecce and later became one of the most decorated and influential players in the history of Juventus, is valid for three years.
The appointment of Conte, who also played for the Italy national team and was a participant at the 1994 FIFA World Cup and UEFA Euro 2000, is huge, with Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis heavily involved in the deal.
Conte’s appointment comes days after Fabrizio Romano confirmed that the former head coach of Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur has agreed to take the Napoli job.
Romano noted in a post on X (formerly Twitter) that an agreement has already been reached on every detail, including add-ons, a fixed salary, image rights, and staff members.
