After a few days of improved power supply, the national grid has collapsed.
In a tweet by the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC), the grid was said to have collapsed at 10:55 am on Monday, September 26.
Similarly, the Head of Corporate Communications at the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company, Emeka Ezeh, said the grid collapse has plunged the country into a nationwide darkness.
“As a result of this development, all our feeders are out of supply and this has caused disruption of power supply to our esteemed customers across these coverage areas,” the statement reads in part.
The electricity distribution companies also sought the cooperation of Nigerians as they work to restore power to homes and offices.
This brings the number of times the national grid has collapsed in 2022 to eight.
