N’Golo Kanté is reportedly on the verge of a move to Turkish giants Fenerbahçe after reaching an agreement on personal terms with the club.

The 33-year-old French midfielder held a positive meeting with Fenerbahçe officials on Tuesday, bringing him closer to finalising the deal. Sources indicate that the personal terms of the agreement are now very close to completion.

However, negotiations with Kanté’s current club, Al Ittihad, are still ongoing. The timing of the transfer remains uncertain, as no official deal has yet been confirmed.

Al Ittihad have made it clear that they have no intention of allowing Kanté to leave on a free transfer, insisting on a fee for the player despite the advanced agreement with Fenerbahçe.

The move would mark a significant signing for Fenerbahçe, bringing in a world-class midfielder renowned for his stamina, ball-winning ability, and experience at the highest level of European football.

Kanté, who won the Premier League with both Chelsea and Leicester City and lifted the World Cup with France, would add leadership and quality to the Turkish side’s midfield ahead of their domestic and European campaigns.

Clubs and fans will now await the conclusion of talks between Fenerbahçe and Al Ittihad, with a final transfer announcement expected once both sides reach an agreement.
