NGX Trading: Eunisell Leads Gainers with 9.9% Surge, Juli Plc Tops Losers

The Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) witnessed mixed trading on Monday, October 20, 2025, with Eunisell Interlinked Plc emerging as the standout performer among top gainers, while Juli Plc led the decline.

Union Dicon Salt Plc (UNIONDICON) topped the gainers’ chart with a 10% increase, closing at ₦8.80 per share, up from ₦8.00 in the previous session. 

The salt manufacturer has recorded a year-to-date gain of 22.2% from its opening price of ₦7.20, ranking 99th on the exchange in terms of annual performance. However, investors are advised to exercise caution as the stock has declined 10% over the past four weeks.

Eunisell Interlinked Plc (EUNISELL) posted an impressive 9.9% gain, closing at ₦53.20 per share compared to ₦48.40 previously. The chemical distribution company has been a stellar performer in 2025, surging 176% from its January opening price of ₦19.27, placing it 20th on the NGX year-to-date rankings. Notably, Eunisell has gained 74% over the past four weeks alone—the best performance on the exchange during that period.

BUA Cement Plc (BUACEMENT) rounded out the top three gainers with a 6.3% increase, closing at ₦170.00 per share, up from ₦160.00. The cement manufacturer has gained 82.8% since opening the year at ₦93.00, ranking 60th in year-to-date performance. The stock has also added 12% over the past month, making it the 18th best performer during that period.

Juli Plc (JULI) led the losers with a 9.9% decline, closing at ₦8.06 per share, down from ₦8.95. The company’s troubles have deepened, with the stock down 21.8% year-to-date from its opening price of ₦10.30, ranking 141st on the exchange. Investor concerns have intensified as Juli has shed 19% of its value since September 19.

Thomas Wyatt Nigeria Plc (THOMASWY) fell 9.6%, closing at ₦2.72 per share from ₦3.01. Despite Monday’s decline, the engineering and construction company maintains a positive year-to-date performance of 43.9%, having started the year at ₦1.89 per share, ranking 87th on the NGX.

Daar Communications Plc (DAARCOMM) dropped 7.1%, closing at ₦1.04 per share compared to ₦1.12 previously. The media company has nonetheless gained 65.1% year-to-date from its opening price of ₦0.63, placing it 70th in annual performance rankings.

The mixed trading session reflects the ongoing volatility in Nigeria’s equity market as investors navigate economic conditions and corporate earnings expectations heading into the final quarter of 2025.
