Nigerians protest as Asake charges N70k per ticket for December concert

Some music lovers in Nigeria have expressed outrage after Asake announced that ticket sales for his December concert will start from N70,000.

The Nigerian Twitter space has been buzzing since news about the ticket sales emerged. Some fans have already ruled out any possibility of attending the concert scheduled to hold on December 22 at Eko Conventional Centre.

They questioned why they should spend that huge sum of money just to stand and watch the singer perform.

News.ng collated some reactions from fans regarding the issue as seen below:

@Sarah Peter Obi Mufc Fisayo said:

“70k just to stand and listen to the song I already have in the phone lol. With that 70k I will take myself out, listen to his song from the DJ and have fun. How do you all manage to enjoy a show while standing and screaming?”

@Iyáwò (émí) Oga stated:

“70k is a bit much just to jive and dance and sweat…. I can stream from my room and still do whatever I want without getting bodily rubbed by Pple …. 20k would’ve been decent.”

@michael olusodo said:

“But then it is not a must to be at the concert if it is convenient and affordable for u go, if it isn’t  engage yourself with other activities.”
