Many Nigerians across social media have expressed mixed reactions about the release of a popular skit maker, Abdullahi Adisa, popularly known as Trinity Guy, who was detained last month for allegedly sexualising a minor in one of his viral prank videos.
Mr Adisa was arrested by the Police in connection with a prank video that involved a minor.
He was subsequently arraigned in June alongside the minor’s parents Isiaka Ahmed, 40, and his wife, Rofiat, 29, at domestic court at Iyaganku, Ibadan, Oyo State, which ordered his remand to Agodi correctional facility.
They were all charged with two-count of alleged conspiracy and sexual abuse and exploitation.
According to the police, the offence violates Section 35 (1) and was punishable under Section 35 (2) of the Oyo State Child Rights Law 2006.
Abdugalfar Abiola, also known as Cute Abiola, a fellow skit creator, reported on his Instagram page that Trinity Guy had been released on bond.
