Senator John Enoh, Nigeria’s Minister of Sports, today convened a crucial meeting with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and José Peseiro, coach of the Super Eagles, in preparation for the upcoming AFCON 2024 tournament.
The focus of the meeting was to ensure comprehensive preparations and a strong team lineup for the championship.
Emphasizing the nation’s thirst for victory, Senator Enoh underscored Nigeria’s abundance of football talent, highlighting that approximately 45 players are under consideration for the team.
With a clear objective of reclaiming the AFCON trophy after a ten-year hiatus since the last triumph in 2013, the minister stressed the necessity for a formidable and determined Super Eagles lineup.
On his part, Coach Peseiro echoed the commitment to secure victory, emphasizing his dedication to the team’s success.
A collaborative effort between the coaching crew of the Super Eagles and the technical department of the NFF was assured to ensure optimal preparation and performance in the tournament.
