Nigerian international and Wolverhampton centre-forward Tolu Arokodare, who came on as a substitute, earned his club a draw against Brentford in Monday’s English Premier League (EPL) fixture, news.ng reports.
The match, which ended 2–2, saw Brentford score first in the 22nd minute courtesy of another Nigerian, Michael Kayode. The home team doubled their lead in the 37th minute through Igor Thiago.
Wolves, who are already in the relegation zone, reduced the tally to 2–1 just before the half-time whistle in the 44th minute through Adam Armstrong.
Both teams struggled to get another goal for nearly half an hour until Arokodare’s 77th-minute header from very close range found the bottom-right corner to level the game.
Arokodare’s goal was his second of the season after 26 appearances for Wolves.
Wolves are still at the bottom of the table with just 17 points, while Brentford are seventh with 45 points.
