Chiamaka Nnadozie, Nigeria’s Super Falcons goalkeeper and Brighton & Hove Albion’s first-choice shot-stopper, has been named the 2025 Africa Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year for the third consecutive year, following her wins in 2023 and 2024.
Nnadozie edged out tough competition from Khadija Er-Rmichi of Morocco’s AS FAR and South Africa’s Andile Dlamini of Mamelodi Sundowns at the awards ceremony in Rabat, Morocco, on Wednesday.
The goalkeeper has been pivotal for both club and country. She was instrumental as the Super Falcons captured a record-extending 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title earlier this year in Morocco.
At club level, Nnadozie has impressed since joining Brighton & Hove Albion from French side Paris FC during the summer transfer window, delivering consistently strong performances in the English Women’s Super League.
