The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited has disclosed that it generated revenue of N2.57 trillion and recorded a Profit After Tax (PAT) of N385 billion in January 2026, news.ng reports.

In its Monthly Report Summary for January, published Monday and obtained by this news medium, the company’s monthly operational report shows increased crude oil and gas output during the month.

According to the report, the state-owned oil firm disclosed that crude oil and condensate production averaged 1.64 million barrels per day (mbpd) following its stabilisation efforts in production and moves to improve upstream performance in its controlled oil fields in the country.

The report also indicated strong performance in the gas sector, as natural gas production reached 7,283 million standard cubic feet per day. The figure recorded by the oil company shows the country’s commitment to its drive for gas as a major alternative for power generation.

According to the report, a total of N726 billion was paid in taxes, royalties, and other remittances to the government.

While the company has assured the steady availability and supply of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), petrol, nationwide, the report indicated that the availability of the product at all NNPCL Retail Limited stations was 54%.

Over the years, NNPC has faced pipeline vandalism, but now the narrative is different, as the January report indicated that infrastructure reliability and upstream pipeline availability stood at 96%, showing stability in its operations.

Due to minimal disruptions to operations in the oil-rich Niger Delta region, the company reported 96% pipeline availability on the Obiafu-Obrikom-Oben (OB3) pipeline and 92% on the Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano (AKK) pipeline, which serve as critical gas transmission assets for expanding the country’s gas delivery services.

The gas delivery network initiative by the NNPCL, which is anchored by the Obiafu-Obrikom-Oben (OB3) Gas Pipeline and the Ajaokuta–Kaduna–Kano (AKK) Gas Pipeline Project, is expected to improve domestic gas utilisation.

With the report provided by the NNPCL, the company is positioned as a major player in the country’s crude oil and gas output among its competitors.
