“No parent deserves this” – Actress Mercy Johnson reacts to death of 12-year-old Chrisland school student

Popular Nollywood actress, Mercy Johnson, has reacted to the tragic death of a 12-year-old student of Chrisland International School  Lagos.

The young girl, Whitney Adeniran, died on February 9, during the school’s inter-house sports event at Agege Stadium.

The school’s authorities alleged that the girl slumped and died, but her parents have accused the management of cover up.

Reacting, actress Mercy Johnson in a social media post, disclosed that she has spoken to the management to heed the cry of Whitney’s mother and release the details of what happened to her daughter.

She wrote:

“I’m responding to the cries of a mother going through the worst pain ever. A mother who wants to know how her child died so suddenly @bam.babycity. 

“No parent deserves this, no one. Since I saw this heartbreaking video this morning, I’ve called to plead with the school @chrislandinsta to do as Whitney’s mum has cried for and release the full details of what happened to her daughter. We are all waiting.”

In another news, Mercy Johnson-Okojie, has opened up about her close shave with cancer disease.

She made the disclosure when hosting veteran actress Joke Silva on her cooking show, Mercy’s Menu.

Mercy said she had to undergo surgery to remove her thyroid, a gland in the throat. She said she was on strict medication to battle the disease.
